Santat! Is a collaboration of seven passionate winemakers, among the best in their appellations. Each contributes one cuvee to the brand. The cuvees are respectful of the appellation's tradition, and true to the varietals. These winemakers produce wines that demonstrate the individual nature of their estates. Santat Colombard VdP Cotes de Gascogne Blanc Sec produced at Domaine de Mirail by Charles Hochman. Made from 100% Colombard planted on limestone soil, it is a fresh wine with minerals and grapefruit flavors intended to be drunk for pleasure. Charles Hochman's modern winemaking methods reveal powerful varietal aromas. This wine won a gold medal at the 2005 General Competition in Paris. Santat Negrette AOC Cotes du Frontonnais Rosé produced at Chateau Montauriol by Nicolas Gelis. Made up of more than 70% of the Négrette grape and Syrah. This rosé results from a « saignée » of the best grapes. It is then placed in an isothermal tank for a long fermentation at low temperature. This rosé has a fresh nose of small red fruits. It is well-balanced between fruitiness and acidity, with aromas of acacia and bitter almond predominating. It makes a wonderful apéritif and goes well with grilled pork, salads, or seafood. Santat Duras - Braucol AOC Gaillac Rouge produced at Domaine des Terrisses by Alain Cazottes. The Cozottes familly vineyards are situated on the very first slopes overlooking the town of Gaillac where the Romans and then the Benedictine monks of Saint Michael’s Abbey (10th century) already grew vines; Domaine de Terrisses occupies the historical and geographical heart of the Gaillac wine region. The predominant grape of this wine is Duras, an ancient grape which proves here that it also has a place with contemporary taste. The finesse of its spicy aromas and its supple and round mouth make this a perfect wine to drink to your health. Santat! Santat Malbec AOC Cahors Rouge produced at Chateau Lamartine by Alain Gayraud. Chateau Lamartine is known for its cuvées made from Malbec (Cot). This is a harmonious wine intended to give immediate pleasure. The nose has notes of licorice and morello cherries which meld with discreet notes of wood. Santat Tannat - Pinenc AOC Madiran Rouge produced at Domaine Berthoumieu by Didier Barré. Domaine Berthoumieu is located in the heart of the Madiran appellation, on the borders of the Pyrénées Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées and Gers departments. The grapes are Tannat and Pinenc. The alliance of these two grapes gives a wonderful aroma of red fruits accented by fragrant spices. A powerful and refined nose and a full and harmonious mouth makes this a delicious wine. It is a perfect companion for game, roasted red meats or meats in a rich sauce, duck confit or duck breasts. Santat Merlot AOC Bererac Rouge produced at Clos des Verdots by David Fourtout. This Bergerac is made mostly from Merlot. It is a selection of several cuvées, with supple and elegant tannins. Its flattering nose and ruby red color are an indication of tiny red fruits in the mouth, which is delicate but full. This wine is intended to be drunk young and can accompany the entire meal. Santat Mansengs AOC Jurancon Blanc Moelleux produced at Lapeyre by Jean-Bernard Larrieu. This dessert wine has an intense nose of honey, quince jelly, pineapple and citrus fruits. In the mouth, a sensation of freshness dominates; its sweetness combines with spices, mango, and orange peel. This wine is perfect for an apéritif, to eat with a savory meal or with light dessert.
